The objective of the association is to promote quality furniture manufacturing in Denmark, and thus secure that the consumers and the furniture dealers purchase impeccable products.
Together with the Danish Technological Institute, the department for wood technique, Dansk Møbelkontrol have formulated the requirements to quality for materials and execution, which the member firms have to comply with.
The Danish Technological Institute, the department for wood technique, controls that the requirements to materials and execution are observed - partly via unannounced visits to the factories and partly via testing of furniture, selected at random. The tests are conducted at the Danish Technological Institute, which has a furniture-testing laboratory, enjoying international respect.
Dansk Møbelkontrol was established more than 25 years ago, and since then the association has had a strong effect on other Danish furniture makers as well as inspiring the consumers to make demands with regard to the quality of the furniture.
On this basis, the trademark of Dansk Møbelkontrol is a guarantee - both for the consumer and for the furniture dealer. A trademark of guarantee, vouching for high quality and all reasonable expectations to furniture.
The members of the association are liable to repair or to exchange any furniture in connection with a legitimate claim.
